Termite Chemical Barrier

In some cases, your Extermital professional may recommend a chemical termite barrier instead of baiting treatments like Sentricon. About 25% of our clients use the Extermital chemical barrier to treat termites, and it's very effective. It does require a bit more work to put into effect though, let's take a closer look.

The chemical barrier extends deeply enough into the soil that it intercepts tunneling termites. Instead of stopping them there, as the name might imply, the barrier is ingested and sticks to the termites as they tunnel through it. In this way, it's carried to the rest of the colony which is eliminated quickly.

There are generally three main steps to the process of applying a chemical barrier: Trenching the soil for deep application, treating the trench, and, of course, patching the trench.
